As a child of God, we share in Christ as:

- Cardinals choose new Pope (often one of themselves)
- Bishops – smaller groups; archbishops – larger groups
- To teach the faithful
- To make holy the Church, especially through the sacraments
- To govern the Church in imitation of Christ
2. Laity
- A baptized person who is not ordained or consecrated
- Message: preach the Gospel through word and deed (how we live our lives)
- Community: we are a sign of the Gospel; we live faith, hope, and love
- Service: helping each other, especially those in most need
- Worship: we realize that God has given us everything, and so, in return, in praise, worship, and adoration, we thank Him
3. Consecrated & Religious
Nuns & monks, sisters & brothers
- Nuns & monks spend most of their time praying and live in a monastery
- Sisters & brothers are more active and spend most of time out and about
